The US President Donald Trump, in response to coronavirus issue and Hong Kong’s autonomy, announced the ending of the Hong Kong’s special trade status with the US and denied visas to Chinese officials. He stated that the US would begin the process of revoking Hong Kong’s preferential trade under the US law.
The US President Donald Trump announced that his country would end its relationship with the World Health Organisation (WHO) over the world body’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic. The US has joined an international panel for setting ethical guidelines for the use of Artificial Intelligence. The Trump Administration had earlier dismissed the idea of the Group of Seven countries in setting up the Global Partnership on AI. This is to counter China’s record of “twisting technology” to threaten civil liberties. The partnership comes nearly two years after the leaders of Canada and France announcing the formation of the group.
