Odisha’s three-day unique festival, Raja Parba has begun on June 14. The festival celebrates the onset of monsoon and the Earth’s womanhood. As a mark of respect towards the Earth during her mensuration days, all agricultural works like ploughing, sowing etc., are suspended for three days. The festival is tainted by the on-going coronavirus pandemic as the Odisha government has banned any kind of congregation between June 13 and 16.
