The European Union has imposed its first-ever sanctions over alleged cyberattacks on Russian military agents, Chinese cyber spies and organisations including a North Korean firm. A total of 6 people and 3 organisations have been hit with sanctions. They are accused of being involved in the 2017 “WannaCry” ransomware and “NotPetya” malware attacks and the “CloudHopper” cyberespionage campaign.
